As part of your Applegate welcome you’ll find a jar of homemade marmalade. Having just enjoyed watching the film ‘Paddington’ you might just have to be watchful in case a bear decides it’s time to explore the Isle of Skye!
“Every morning?” Paddington looked as if it could hardly believe its ears. “I only had it on special occasions at home. Marmalade’s very expensive in Darkest Peru.” (A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond)
Hopefully, whatever the weather, you will enjoy the special occasion of your Applegate holiday and may even be tempted to marmalade every morning.
How about it on toast made from the fabulous bread at The Isle of Skye Baking Company? Your only problem might be choosing the type of bread – corn, spelt, multi-grain, potato, barley and gluten free. Mind you some of the lunch bread with many interesting fillings might not go quite so well with marmalade.
